I have never heard of Uruguayan wines. Are they good?

Uruguay's wine industry consist of a couple of dozen of family owned wineries, most of which have been making wine for several generations. The signature grape of Uruguay is the Tannat and you owe it to yourself to try some some Tannat if you like wines.
Those who have come to our wine tasting have universally raved about the wines. They are very pleasantly surprised at the quality of wines available here. Please note we have selected the best wines for some of the best winemakers in Uruguay for our tasting experience. These wine are not offered in the regular retail outlets around Montevideo.
